Other Specification:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent; relevant certifications or additional education in travel and tourism is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Ticketing Officer or similar role in the travel industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of airline ticketing systems, including GDS (Global Distribution Systems) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
  • Familiarity with fare calculation and airline ticketing procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Ticketing Officer to join our travel agency. As a Ticketing Officer, you will be responsible for efficiently handling ticketing and reservations for airline and other travel-related services. Your attention to detail, knowledge of ticketing systems, and excellent communication skills will contribute to providing exceptional service to our clients.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Process ticket reservations, cancellations, and changes for airline travel.
  • Ensure accurate issuance of tickets, including flight itineraries, seating arrangements, and fare calculations.
  • Provide guidance and information to customers regarding ticket prices, flight schedules, travel routes, and travel regulations.
  • Collaborate with airlines, travel suppliers, and other partners to secure bookings and resolve any issues or conflicts.
  • Utilize ticketing software and systems to accurately calculate fares and taxes.
  • Stay updated on airline fare rules, restrictions, and promotional offers.
  • Provide clients with pricing options based on their travel preferences and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with international and domestic travel regulations and security procedures.
  • Assist clients in obtaining necessary travel documents and provide guidance on travel requirements.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and address any travel-related concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Assist customers in finding suitable alternatives in case of flight disruptions, delays, or cancellations.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the agency, such as sales, finance, and operations, to ensure smooth and efficient travel arrangements.
  • Communicate and coordinate with airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, and other service providers to arrange comprehensive travel packages.
  • Maintain accurate records of ticketing transactions, including ticket numbers, passenger details, and payment information.
  • Generate reports on ticket sales, bookings, and revenue as required.
  • Ensure confidentiality and data protection of customer information.
