Position Summary: Store Operation and commercial activity as well management of MIS support.

 

Major Roles And Responsibilities (Job Details)

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of raw materials, packaging materials, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Regularly conduct stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with ERP system records.Implement inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Receive incoming materials, ensuring proper documentation and verification of quantities and quality.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure that materials meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Report and document any discrepancies or damages to the HOD.
  • Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage and deterioration.
  • Implement an organized layout within the store for easy accessibility and retrieval of items.
  • Monitor and control storage conditions such as temperature and humidity as needed.
  • Coordinate with various departments to fulfill material requisitions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a system for issuing materials based on FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
  • Implement procedures to prevent unauthorized access to the store.
  • Prepare regular reports on material transactions, stock status, and consumption patterns.
  • Maintain records of receipts, issuances, and returns for auditing purposes.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in BBS/Masters, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven 2 years’ experience as a Store Officer or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the steel industry.
  • Sound knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with MS package and ERP software for inventory management.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
