Position Summary: As a dedicated professional in the realm of Information Technology, this role involves comprehensive oversight of the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of server systems and associated software. The primary responsibility is to administer, monitor, and troubleshoot operating systems, server infrastructures, and critical system services.

Roles and Responsibilities

System Administration:

•  Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of server systems and software.
• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot operating systems, server infrastructures and critical system services.
• Ensure the availability and performance of servers and critical services.
• Basic Networking for the Server Infrastructure.
•  Conduct regular system audits for security and performance enhancements.

Infrastructure Management and Security:

•  Design and implement scalable and robust infrastructure solutions.
•  Verifying, repairing and recovering the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes (I.e., Firewall, DNS, MAIL, Rancid, Nagios, Web, Database, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Asterisk, VMWARE, HCI, Cacti, MRTG, SNMP, ELK Stack, etc)
•  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system architecture and performance.
•  Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
•  Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks.
•  Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data.
•  Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend relevant solution.

Troubleshooting and Support:

• Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex system service issues.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
•  Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve escalated support issues.

Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Develop and update disaster recovery plans and procedures.
