Senior Study Abroad Career Counsellor

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive study abroad career counseling to students interested in pursuing education opportunities in Australia and New Zealand
  • Assess students' educational goals, qualifications, and preferences to determine suitable study abroad programs and institutions
  • Offer guidance on admission requirements, application processes, and scholarship opportunities in Australia and New Zealand
  • Conduct research and stay updated with the latest information on universities, courses, and study options in both countries
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions, universities, and study abroad program providers
  • Assist students with application preparation, including reviewing and editing personal statements, resumes, and other supporting documents
  • Provide guidance on standardized tests, such as IELTS or TOEFL, and offer strategies for improving language proficiency
  • Deliver workshops and seminars on study abroad opportunities, application procedures, and cultural adaptation
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up services to students throughout their study abroad journey
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in study abroad counseling and education, particularly for Australia and New Zealand.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Study Abroad Career Counsellor, specifically assisting students interested in Australia and New Zealand.
  • In-depth knowledge of the education systems, universities, colleges, and study abroad programs in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Familiarity with admission requirements, application processes, and scholarship opportunities in both countries.
  • Strong understanding of cultural, social, and academic factors influencing the study abroad decision-making process.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple student cases simultaneously.
  • High level of professionalism, empathy, and discretion when handling sensitive student information.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and technology for counseling and student management.
