Job Description:

Level: Manager 
 

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) 
 

Supervising: Sales Team 
 

Department: Sales Department 

 

Role Purpose: Responsible for charge of managing organizational sales by developing business  plans, meeting planned goals, and coordinating with the stakeholders on lead generation.  Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team by tracking sales goals, setting  individual sales targets, and facilitate the ongoing training of the team. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence 
  • Work with the Top Management on a strategic level in identifying current market trends and aligning the trends with the company policies and procedures to establish customer support goals
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics; set targets, project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new  services
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status 
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team 
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts 
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them, understanding their needs, and provide services that will meet those needs
  • Plan to ensure achievement of divisional and personal target, aligning with company sales policies and strategies 
  • Maintain proactiveness to lead the sales team aligned with the company objectives
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company's relationship with them 
  • Identify and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team; continuous monitoring and supervision of the team performance for better efficiency in work
  • Resolve customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may hamper efficient sales operations 
  • Ensure the customer complaints are resolved within the stipulated time. Liaising with internal departments to ensure customer needs are fulfilled effectively
  • Maintain a long-term connection with the clients. Managing client retention activities such as taking initiatives for client satisfaction and process improvement plans
  • Attend different events for promoting sales of the company and maintaining connections with the clients/customers
  • Proposal draft, review, finalize, and implement for different sales activities
  • Train yourself and work with the cross-functional teams to acquire more knowledge on technical and functional aspects that the job demands
  • Motivate team towards technical and other various documentation and ensure that the  industry standard documentation is maintained and available at any point in time
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Business Development, Product Heads and other  stakeholders for achieving the organizational goals and customer requirements
  • Maintain intact coordination with channel partners and outside employees
  • Take necessary measures to avoid centralization of knowledge. There should not be any  dependency on the project on anybody
  • Report all the weekly tasks in form of accurate and detailed reports to the reporting  manager. Escalate exceptional situations with explanations and solutions.

 

Team Management:

  • Ensure monitoring and supervision of the staffs for team growth in the long-run 
  • Ensure proper performance review, evaluation and feedback as per the work initiated  or target achieved on quarterly, semi-quarterly or annually
  • Follow of proper succession plan for team development and career progression of the  department
  • Plan various learning and development activities to enhance knowledge and skills of  team members as well as provide guidance, training, mentorship and/or instruction
  • Motivate teams for boosting their self-esteem to enhance their skills and abilities
  • Develop team meetings, interaction sessions and planning for overall efficiency of the  department
  • Create a suitable working environment.

 

Reporting: 

  • Regular updates and reports of the projects and tasks to the concerned authority
  • Prepare reports of all the tasks performed (daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly) and  submit them to the Top Management when required
  • Collect reports and work logs for team members (daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly)  and submit them to the Top Management when required.
