Job Description:

The Remediation Analyst is responsible for the refund calculations for the business. They will manage various excel spreadsheets with regulatory calculations that need to be completed to calculate good value payments or GVC which will include sourcing appropriate data from relevant product providers and internal stakeholders. The right candidate will be expected to enhance the tools where appropriate and may be involved in uplifting tools when compliance requirements change.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate simple and complex financial payments.
  • Further develop and maintain complex financial models and tools to facilitate calculation of compensation in line with established policies, processes and procedures in Excel and internal calculator.
  • Form an assessment of a customer’s loss specific to their circumstances based on the investigation outcome utilising excel models and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (via compliance system) and product providers where further information is required.
  • Prepare letter templates to communicate remediation outcomes and accompany remediation calculations.
  • Work closely with governance & compliance team to ensure timeliness and consistency of resolutions co-ownership of risk management tool.
