Skills Academy is a pre-employment and skill-based training provider based in Kathmandu. Skill Academy provides quality training to adults seeking to upskill themselves. 

 

What will you do?

Working with Skills Academy as a Receptionist, you will be our company's first point of contact. Our Receptionist's duties include offering administrative support across the organisation. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, distribute correspondence and redirect phone calls / online enquiries.

 

An overview of the role:

  • This role is New Plaza, Putalisadak, Kathmandu office-based, with 48 hours weeks over six days a week.
  • This permanent full-time role is available starting immediately.
  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office.
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
  • Answering, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls and online enquiries.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
  • Provide basic and accurate information in person and via phone/email.
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
  • Order front office supplies and keep an inventory of stock.
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings.
  • Schedule meeting room and training room bookings,
  • Arrange travel and accommodations, and prepare vouchers,
  • Keep updated records of office expenses and costs.
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing,

 

Job Specification:

 

About You

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid English and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • Confident in taking ownership of calls to problem solve and come up with solutions
  • A high degree of attention to detail
  • Team player, working collaboratively to exceed expectations
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID 19
