Radiology Assistant

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

1. Photo identification check of immigrants and refugees including name, age and sex to prevent substitution during medical screening process and during X-ray taking and do X-ray related counselling.
2. Prepare the daily X-ray wordlist, does correct filling of client’s bio-data on x-ray reporting template for all CXR cases.
3. Carry out X-ray imaging of migrants and refugee as requested by the physician or radiologist in accordance with the IOM standards.
4. Communicate with the radiologist to notify when CXR is done and sent to the server.
5. Download the report from the server, filing of the reports, and deliver report to the doctors.
6. Perform clerical duties and ensure proper record keeping.
7. For Australia cases, upload the image to e-medical website, timely & properly.
8. Burning of CD for the CXRs images of refugees. Coordinate with the staff in MHD and outside when necessary.
9. Properly use UKTB global websites for CXRs under UKTB program.
10. Implement safety procedures in the radiology unit in accordance with the radiation rules and regulations.
11. Collect, sort and collate medical forms and specialists’ reports for mail out.
12. Keep inventory of consumables, timely notify National Migration Panel Physician of the necessary purchases.
13. Liaise with the technical service providers inside and outside of IOM regarding maintenance and repair of the equipment. Ensure that the maintenance is performed according to a schedule.
14. Preparing necessary statistics and reporting.
15. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Education

  • B.Sc. in Radiology from an accredited Institute with two years of professional work experience. Or
  • Completed High School Degree in Radiography with four years’ work experience in related field.

 

Experience

  • Experience of working in radiology unit.
  • Computer Literacy required. MS Office suite (word, Excel, Access).

 

Skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to organize.
  • Teamwork oriented with capacity to work independently.Languages Fluency in English, Nepali is required.

Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment. Only Nepali Nationals will be considered for this position.
