Public Engagement Specialist (American Spaces Program Specialist)

 

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience delivering information resources, public education, public affairs, or public relations in a multilingual, multicultural, or multinational public service institution (such as a museum, think tank, American studies or cultural center, or library) is required, with communications, marketing or public relations duties as a significant part of the job. At least one additional year of supervisory experience is required.

 

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, Library Science, International Affairs, or Business Management is required.

 

Evaluations:

These may be tested (Language, Skills and Abilities).

 

LANGUAGE: Fluent speaking/reading/writing English is required. Fluent speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good analytical, communication, management and interpersonal skills are required. Good technical skills on using social media, mobile platforms and digital tools are required. Thorough knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, graphic design and photo editing software is required. Must be available to travel throughout Nepal to support American Spaces projects and activities.

 

Qualifications:

All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.
