Basic Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Information Management, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Environmental Science, or a related field from an accredited academic institution would be a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position and similar in field.
  • Experience working with an I/NGO preferred.
  •  Experience in emergency response in the field of data management, information management.
  • Experience in implementing community based DRR activities and other ICT4D interventions.

 

Required/Desired Foreign Language: Able to clearly communicate in written and spoken English and Nepali.
Travel Required: Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% to municipalities covered by NHSRP in Karnali Province.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ArcGIS/ QGIS, Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), Software development tools.
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office especially Advanced Excel and access.
  • Knowledge in graphic design and infographics
  • Understanding of accountability towards beneficiary privacy and data protection.
  • Experience in relationship management with partner organizations and other key players, including government officials at provincial and local levels.
  •  Experience in identifying and supporting volunteers.

Internal: NHSRP National Coordinator, NHSRP National Technical Coordinator, NHSRP-PMT, NHSRP-SMT, PIN Program Manager, PIN Program Team.

 

External: Province Disaster Management Committee (PDMC), District Disaster Management Committee (DDMC), Local Disaster Management Committees (LDMC), District Administration Offices (DAO), local governments (Municipalities and rural municipalities), ward offices, Office of District Coordination Committee (DCC), other Stakeholders including UN, Red Cross, Donors, and Partner Organizations working in Recovery and Reconstruction, NHSRP Strategic Advisory Group (SAG), Universities, Associations, Private Sector, media and Community Groups.
