Contract Duration (Years, Months, Days): 6 months, extension depends on the performance, need of functions and funding availability.

Education:

Essential: University degree in public health.

Desirable: Post Graduate Training in Public Health, International health, epidemiology, or in an allied discipline.

Experience:

Essential: At least two years’ experience in public health interventions including infectious disease control and surveillance at the national and sub national level.

Desirable: proven experience in NTDs interventions for at least 6 months.

Functional Knowledge and Skills:

• Self-motivated with ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
• Good interpersonal skills, able to work as a team member in a multi-cultural environment.
• Ability to participate actively and cooperatively in knowledge sharing and policy forums at various levels and to coordinate with the GoN agencies and key stakeholders.
• Good writing skills in English and Nepali, including ability to write clear and concise progress report, analytical reports, plans and proposals.
• Technical expertise and overall attitude at work is required as mandatory competencies.

Other Skills (eg IT): Good computer skills including office software applications and basic statistical/database management.

Monthly Salary: (Net of tax) NPR 196,102.00 at single rate (taxable as per Nepal Government laws and appointment will be through Special Services Agreement (SSA).
