Responsibilities:
- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA): Conduct assessments to evaluate the potential environmental impact of proposed projects or developments.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with environmental regulations and ensure that projects and activities comply with local, state, and federal environmental laws.
- Waste Management: Design and implement waste management plans to minimize the generation of hazardous waste and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
- Water Quality Monitoring: Monitor and analyze water quality, and develop strategies to improve or maintain environmental quality standards.
- Sustainable Design: Collaborate with architects and other engineers to incorporate sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in the design and construction of projects.
- Climate Change Adaptation: Collaborate with schools, communities tominimize the risk of climate change.
- Public Outreach and Education: Communicate with the public, government agencies, and other stakeholders to explain environmental issues, regulations, and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Masters In Environment Engineering/ Environmental Science.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and laws.
- Proficiency in environmental modeling software and other relevant tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of sustainable and green engineering practices.
- Ability to work in the field, sometimes in challenging environmental conditions.
- Project management skills for overseeing and coordinating environmental projects.
- Commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.
