Qualification and Experience Required:

• Thorough knowledge of the Nepalese education system and well familiar with the concepts of child rights and child friendly school.
• Proven project management experience, at least 3 years’ experience in the field of Education.
• Excellent skills in partnership building and relationship management, training and facilitation, communication and negotiation. teamwork and motivation.
• Very good command over English and Nepali languages, both in writing and speaking
• Strong learning attitude, open minded, energetic and flexible in time.
• Bachelor’s degree, Master desired (preferably in Education).

The successful candidate is required to be able to:
Design project implementation strategies along with detailed action plans, budget and work schedule; Conduct regular meetings with local govt. to get required support; Visit schools, collect necessary information and assess the needs of the schools; Work with respective schools and local govt. units to prioritize the needs and develop appropriate action for long term intervention to create and promote child friendly environment; Equip and orient the schools to improve the quality of education; Train and facilitate SMC, PTA, Child Clubs, Teachers and other stakeholders on quality improvement, responsibility and accountability; Ensure that minimum standards are met in the schools; Build strong coordination and relationship with relevant stakeholders and agencies; Supervise the project team, monitor the progress and prepare monthly and periodic reports.
