Qualification and experiences:

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Public Health, Water and Sanitation, WASH Engineering, Social Science, Development Studies, or an equivalent degree from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of similar experience with I/NGOs or government, especially in the Terai region of Nepal, in WASH-related projects, including project planning, implementation, and management.
  • Excellent community mobilization and community skills.
  • Knowledge on MHH and school WASH initiatives.
  • Clear understanding of the development sector, including its operational and regulatory environment in rural areas of Nepal.
  • Clear understanding of the socio-political, economic, and cultural issues of Nepal, specifically in post-located districts of the country.
  • Clear in-depth technical and practical knowledge and understanding of the relevant job with understanding in gender equality and social inclusion.
  • Advanced computer skills and fluency in speaking and report writing in English, Nepali, and local languages.

 

Assignment:

  • 30% office-based work, including coordination and reporting, and 70% fieldwork, including supervision and backstopping (subject to modification as per program requirements).

 

Project period: 38 Months (Mar.2023 to Feb.2026).
