To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

• Education: An advanced university degree in climate change, environmental science, energy, or related engineering field is required.
• Experience: A minimum of five years of relevant international professional work on climate, energy or environment, preferably with the UN, multilateral development organisations. In-depth expertise on climate and environment, together with specific experience in climate and environment programme/project and proposal formulation, and monitoring in a developing country context is required. Knowledge on climate and environmental impacts, assessments, and adaptation solutions is an asset. Familiarity with children’s rights in the context of climate change, environmental degradation and climate related disaster risk reduction. Solid knowledge of UNICEF policies and procedures or other international development agencies is considered an asset
  Language Requirement: Fluency in English. Knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
