Key Responsibilities:
- Pharmacy Operations: Oversee the overall operations of the pharmacy, including dispensing medications, inventory management, and ensuring accuracy and safety in all pharmaceutical activities.
- Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the pharmacy team, including training, mentoring, and performance management to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Patient Care: Ensure the provision of safe and effective pharmaceutical care to patients, including counseling on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions, while addressing their concerns and promoting positive health outcomes.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of medications and supplies, to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize wastage or shortages.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards in pharmaceutical practices, including record-keeping, medication storage, and disposal procedures.
- Customer Service: Foster a customer-centric approach by providing excellent service to patients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their medication needs are met.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to monitor and evaluate the quality of pharmaceutical services, including medication dispensing accuracy and patient counseling.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, suppliers, and stakeholders to optimize patient care, promote effective communication, and build strong relationships.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement best practices, and contribute to the development of pharmacy policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (Pharm.D. preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Competencies:
- Pharmaceutics Knowledge: Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, drug interactions, dosage forms, and compounding techniques.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance and patient safety.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, foster a positive work environment, and promote professional growth.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing and documentation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address medication-related issues and provide appropriate solutions.
- Technology: Proficiency in pharmacy software, electronic health records (EHRs), and other technology tools used in pharmacy operations.

- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with industry trends, new medications, and advancements in pharmacy practice.
Duty Station:
The duty station is Sanepa, Lalitpur, with occasional travel within Kathmandu and Lalitpur for store visits and meetings.
