Job Description:

 

Position Overview: 

The Junior Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the financial operations of our lighting company's factory based in Bhairahawa. This position primarily focuses on assisting with various accounting tasks, including financial record keeping, inventory management, cost analysis, and budgeting. The Junior Accountant works closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank transactions, credit card statements, and other financial documentation.

 

2. Inventory Management:

  • Track and reconcile inventory levels in the factory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Assist in conducting regular physical inventory counts and reconciling any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate costing and valuation of inventory.

 

3. Compliance and Documentation:

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and financial reviews.
  • Support the finance team in addressing inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders.
