Job Summary:

 

Position overview:

As a Jr. Officer – Accounts & Finance, you will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations within our pharmacy retail chain. You will collaborate closely with various internal teams to support accurate financial reporting and decision-making processes.

 

Roles and responsibilities:

 

1. Financial Reconciliation:

  • Conduct regular reconciliations of pharmacy retail chain accounts, including sales, expenses, inventory, and cash.
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve any issues in a timely manner to ensure accurate financial records.

 

2. Account Analysis:

  • Analyze financial data related to the pharmacy retail chain's operations.
  • Generate insights from the analysis to assist in making informed decisions regarding pricing, inventory management, and cost control.

 

3. Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to manage account payments, review invoices, and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
  • Address any discrepancies or billing inquiries promptly.

 

4. Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide insights to management about the financial performance of the pharmacy retail chain.

 

5. Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations in all financial transactions and reporting.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial and accounting standards that could impact on the business.

 

6. Inventory Control:

  • Work closely with inventory management teams to maintain accurate records of stock levels, oversee inventory valuation, and assist in optimizing inventory turnover.

 

7. Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Support the development of annual budgets and forecasts for the pharmacy retail chain.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.

 

8. Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales, procurement, and operations to gather financial data, address inquiries, and facilitate smooth communication regarding financial matters.

 

9. Process Improvement:

  • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, streamline workflows, and implement best practices.
  • Propose and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.

 

10. Auditing:

  • Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring that all required documentation and information are readily available for audit purposes.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance.
