Job Description
- Develop and maintain an efficient inventory tracking system for construction materials and supplies.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts at various project sites and warehouses, reconciling physical stock with system records.
- Coordinate with procurement and project management teams to ensure accurate recording and valuation of construction-related inventory.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained to support ongoing construction activities.
- Prepare regular inventory reports, including aging analysis, consumption patterns, and cost variances.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory-related transactions in the general ledger.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control policies and procedures specific to the construction industry.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to identify any inventory-related issues and implement corrective measures.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in inventory management, preferably in the construction industry in Nepal.
- Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a sound knowledge of accounting principles.
- In-depth understanding of inventory management and control processes in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with construction materials and their valuation methods.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic construction environment.
