Shift: Standard (09:00 AM to 05:00 PM) from Sunday to Friday

 

Position Overview:  

The Human Resource Officer (HR) shall be responsible for managing every aspect of the employment process, training and development, performance monitoring, and employee counseling. The HR officer is expected to be knowledgeable about employment legislation and possesses strategic and commercial insight into the labor process. This position will be required to deliver high-quality service, build strong working relationships throughout the company and promote the company at all times. 

 

HR Officer should display excellent organizational skills, good time-management skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

Recruitment and Selection:

  • Assist in developing HR planning strategies, which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements
  • Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g., social platforms and professional networks)
  • Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments, and in-person interviews
  • Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details
  • Design job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements
  • Manage the overall hiring process
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events.

 

Learning and Development:

  • Identify training and development needs within an organization through job analysis, appraisal schemes, and regular consultation with managers and human resources departments
  • Stays current with industry trends in leadership, managerial, and professional development learning programs that encompass integrating new modalities such as social learning, mobile delivery, and other learning methods
  • Coordinate learning and development events for employees, as required, and participate in the delivery of events as relevant.

 

Implement HR Services:

  • Create a suite of document templates e.g., employment contracts, variation to contract letters, invitation to meeting letters, resignation letters, etc. Ensure these are accessible to the team and ensure they are kept up to date and in line with contractual and statutory requirements
  • Maintain employee, payroll, and benefits records, and prepare reports
  • Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format
  • Assist the management team to design and implement employee recognition programs to support and engage
  • Assist in quarterly and annual employee performance reviews.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

Task Related Skills and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required
  • 2 or more years’ experience in Human Resources with a concentration in recruitment and employee welfare
  • Experienced in MS Office tools.

 

Competencies and Soft Skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive information professionally and with confidentiality
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines within available timeframes
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and quick learner with a can-do attitude
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and critical thinking ability
  • Experience in HRIS.
