Job Description:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive payment strategy aligned with the company’s goals, considering industry best practices and emerging payment technologies
- Identify opportunities for growth and expansion in payment methods to enhance the customer experience
- Oversee the selection, integration, and management of payment service providers, gateways, and processors
- Ensure smooth and frictionless payment processing, including authorization, settlement, and reconciliation
- Continuously analyze payment data, trends, and customer behavior to optimize the payment processes
- Identify areas for improvement, such as reducing cart abandonment rates, increasing conversion rates, and streamlining checkout processes
- Stay up to date with the latest industry regulations, payment security standards and data privacy requirements
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect customer payment information and ensure compliance with relevant standards
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with payment partners, negotiate contracts, and manage performance to ensure healthy growth of prepayment business
- Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the delivery of high-quality payment services
- Devise and implement strategies to optimize payment costs, ensure compliance and set up payments risk infrastructure
- Develop and implement metrics, reporting mechanisms, and dashboards to monitor payment performance, financial metrics, and key business indicators
- Present regular updates and insights to senior management, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement
- Foster cross-learning and collaboration with regional counterparts to share best practices, strategize initiatives, and create success stories.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in payments, preferably in an e-commerce or banking industry, especially in the payments department
- Strong understanding of payment systems, technologies, and industry trends
- In-depth knowledge of payment processing, including authorization, settlement, and reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with payment service providers, gateways, and processors
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate with stakeholders at various levels
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives and drive results
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
