Location: Based in Karnali Province (Surkhet TBC) with regular visits to areas of presence

Geographical coverage: Karnali, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces

Duration: 1 May 2024 to 30 April 2025 (with possibility of extension)

Reports to: Partnership and Capacity Building Lead/ Deputy Country Director

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in social science/work, rural development, political science, humanitarian/development work or relevant field, with at least 2 years of demonstrated work experience or Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of work experience with an I/NGO.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant management and representation experience in civil society/INGO sector in Nepal and minimum of 2-years’ experience in government liaison and partnership management and building.
• Excellent understanding of Nepali political and bureaucracy context and strong networks within relevant Nepali institutions.
• Proven track record of successful Government Liaison and Partnership building for non-profit organizations.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian/development standards and principles; excellent orientation in UN cluster system and in the existing international legal and conceptual frameworks.
• Strong analytical and representation skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills using evidence-based methods.
• Proven strong interpersonal, negotiation, promotion and diplomacy skills.
• Solid knowledge of accountability processes.
• Fluent in both English and Nepali. Local language proficiency from the targeted provinces are plus.
