About the Role

Volunteers Initiatives Nepal (ViN) is seeking a dynamic ESC HumAid Volunteering Project Supervisor to lead impactful community empowerment projects for a transformative two-year term. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader to drive positive change in Nepal while fostering rewarding experiences for international volunteers.

 

Your Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans aligned with ViN’s mission and ESC HumAid guidelines.
  • Oversee budget allocation and ensure efficient resource utilisation across multiple projects.
  • Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Generate impactful reports documenting project activities, achievements, and long-term impact.

 

Volunteer Management:

  • Coordinate deployment and orientation of international ESC volunteers for various project areas.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on project objectives, cultural sensitivity, and volunteer safety.
  • Serve as a mentor for volunteers throughout their placement, offering ongoing guidance and support.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration between volunteers and local communities.

 

Community Engagement:

  • Forge partnerships with local stakeholders to ensure project sustainability and local ownership.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to tailor project interventions to community priorities.
  • Organise workshops, awareness campaigns, and outreach activities to engage the community.

 

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Develop robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track project progress and community outcomes.
  • Conduct regular evaluations to assess project effectiveness and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Ensure comprehensive data collection and analysis for reporting to stakeholders and funding agencies.

 

Logistics and Administration:

  • Manage project logistics, including accommodation, transportation, and procurement.
  • Ensure adherence to ESC HumAid program guidelines and regulations.

 

Your Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience with a proven track record.
  • Minimum five years of experience in managing community development projects.
  • Strong understanding of Nepal’s child protection, Gender youth empowerment, Environmental and public health issues.
  • Extensive experience in working with international volunteers.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English and Nepali (written and spoken).
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Genuine passion for social development and community empowerment.
