Job Description
- Assist the lead Montessori teacher in planning and implementing daily activities based on the Montessori philosophy and curriculum.
- Assist in maintaining a well-organized and inviting classroom environment conducive to learning, including preparing materials and setting up learning areas.
- Observe children’s behavior, progress, and developmental milestones, and communicate observations to the lead teacher and parents as necessary.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to children as they engage with Montessori materials and activities, fostering their independence and problem-solving skills.
- Assist in creating and adapting Montessori materials and activities to meet the diverse needs and interests of children in the classroom.
- Support positive behavior management techniques based on the Montessori philosophy, encouraging independence, respect, and cooperation among children.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing updates on their child’s progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge of Montessori principles, child development, and best practices in early childhood education.
