As an Academic Counsellor, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students pursuing education in Australia. Your role will involve assisting students in understanding their academic requirements, career goals, and providing information about various educational programs available in Australia. You will play a key role in helping students make informed decisions about their academic and professional future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one academic counselling to students.
- Assist students in choosing suitable courses and universities in Australia based on their interests and career aspirations.
- Guide students through the application process, including documentation and visa requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in the Australian education system and immigration policies.
- Collaborate with universities and educational institutions in Australia to facilitate seamless student admissions.
- Organize seminars, workshops, and informational sessions for students and parents.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and applications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, or related field.
- Previous experience in academic counselling, preferably for international students.
- In-depth knowledge of the Australian education system and universities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to empathize and understand the needs of students.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of visa procedures and documentation for studying in Australia
(preferred).
