Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Repair, adjust and service vehicles or components using the necessary equipment and tools in a proper and safe
• Ensure that all repairs are correct first time to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
• Report on vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure to the Workshop Controller promptly and make a note on job card.
• Examine vehicles completely and report orally and or in writing upon condition, road worthiness and safety.
• Ensure that all materials used and time employed on each vehicle is recorded on job cards and that the mechanical write up is correct for works carried out and signed accordingly.
• Ensure that all materials used and time employed on each vehicle is recorded on the job card.
• Ensure that service / repair jobs are completed satisfactorily and to promised time.
• Assist with technical diagnosis and road testing when necessary.
• Carry out road tests on vehicles as and when necessary.
• Complete chock lists for every service of a vehicle.
• Promote satisfactory customer relations through expeditious and courteous handling of public.
• Receive customers, discuss, identify and progress routine service and repair only if required.
• Ensure that any delay in the completion of work is reported to the customer via service adviser.
• Comply with the manufacturer's warranty policy procedures.
• Carry out procedures in line with manufacturers recommendations.
• Interpret and implement technical service instruction data and manufacturers modifications.
