Duty Station: Field based in Kanchanpur (Shuklaphanta National Park).
Duration of Contract: 12 months with possible extension based on performance.

Qualifications: Applicant should ideally have Sub overseer (CTEVT recognized and or equivalent)/TSLC in Civil or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of working experience in relevant fields such as solar water lifting, cold storage, solar dryer, solar water heating system, and other renewable energy technologies. S/he should have experience in the use of GPS, Abney Level, level machines, and basic electrical appliances.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Support RE Engineer to conduct pre-feasibility survey, detail survey, and collect and provide necessary technical data for Renewable Energy Technology system design.
- Assist in RE technologies installation, commissioning, and maintenance and ensure equipment is properly installed and functioning efficiently.
- Work in collaboration with project partners and community mobilisers, provide technical advice and guidance to maximize the use of local resources (cash/kind/local construction materials) in each community and household level for RET installation and civil construction.
- Monitor the quality of work and materials to ensure compliance with the approved design and estimate and store materials/equipment safely.
- Assist and support communities and local entrepreneurs for the procurement of locally available construction materials.
- Regular field visits, monitoring of field activities and provide technical backstopping to the community and take corrective action.
- Support the MEAL officer in field visit and monitoring to ensure that farmers' interests are addressed, and feedback is reflected.
- Timely reporting of project progress to concerned authorities on standard reporting formats provided.
- Participate in periodic review and planning meetings with project team and assist in developing implementation plan.
- Keep up-to-date measurements and records of each and every construction-related activity for technical valuation.
- Train and transfer technical knowledge to the community.
- Provide support to project team for leveraging funds of local stakeholders.
