Technical Lead for Girls and Inclusive Education Network (GIEN)

 

Responsible to: People in Need (PIN) Nepal Program Manager


Responsible for: Driving forward the GIEN initiative in collaboration with the CEHRD, PIN Nepal, and other Development Partners.

 

Location: Kathmandu, Nepal (in CEHRD and in PIN office)


Programme: Leave No Girl Behind (LNGB) “Aarambha”

 

Requirements:

 

Skills

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders of the inclusive education network, donors, and development partners,
  • Ability to work effectively across the three levels of government for the effective implementation of the GIEN network and inclusive education interventions.
  • Excellent coordination and planning skills with experience working under pressure.
  • Prioritization skills, decision-making skills, the focus of the program, coping skills, etc.
  • Ability to analyze and quickly grasp the fundamentals of a need or issue and be able to find innovative ways of solving cross-cutting problems.
  • Ability to manage GIEN interventions in a changing context, recognizing and being open to ambiguity, uncertainty, and opportunities.

 

Qualification: Master’s degree in education or in relevant areas.

 

Network Management: At least 5 years of experience in planning and providing policy inputs in inclusive education, along with gender and social inclusion, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, delivering expected benefits in challenging contexts. Previous experience working with diverse education stakeholders and with/within government of Nepal’s system is a plus.

 

Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills in the internal and international community with the ability to vary communication content and style to suit audiences to inform, motivate, and inspire.
