Team Leader (TL, Level 9)-1, based at Programme Coordination Office, Lalitpur Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research, and Development (LI-BIRD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in October 1995 with its Head Office in Pokhara and Programme Coordination Office in Lalitpur. LI-BIRD is committed to capitalizing on local initiatives for sustainable management of renewable natural resources and improving the livelihoods of rural people in Nepal. LI-BIRD is implementing a project entitled ‘Advocacy and strengthening resilience through Linking agriculture and natural resource management towards nutrition security (LANN+)’ funded by BMZ/German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and Welthungerhilfe (WHH) in Dhading and Salyan districts from November 2020. The main goal of the project is to enhance food and nutrition security of marginalized and vulnerable households by linking sustainable farming practices and natural resource management, WASH and nutrition interventions and through multi-sectoral coordination and policy advocacy towards nutrition outcomes at all levels. LI-BIRD invites applications from eligible and qualified Nepali citizens who are committed and have the ability to deliver results with the highest integrity for the position. Job Summary: Reporting to the Executive Director, TL will be responsible for the overall management of the project by providing strong leadership in planning, execution, monitoring, coordination, documentation and reporting. TL needs to ensure efficient management of the project resources, including staff and budget, building relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, local, provincial and federal governments, and relevant networks for leveraging resources and building synergies to achieve project outcomes. Education and Experience: Master’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university in the field of agriculture, natural resource management, nutrition or related field, with 5 years of work experience (including three years field implementation) in managing nutrition sensitive agriculture, WASH, and livelihood related projects.
