Job Description:

Leadership Role

  • Take ownership of all development projects. Understand the requirements of current and upcoming projects. Assign team members across projects based on experience, project requirements, and project timelines.
  • Help developers succeed in their roles by assisting them with coding problems and provide resources so developers can gain a deeper understanding of coding.
  • Ensure developers are effectively meeting deadlines while performing detailed QA. The team lead will be the final check before anything is marked as complete.
  • Understand and reiterate the “why” behind each task. Completing mindless tasks can be mundane and wears individuals down. Meaningful work starts when team members understand how their contributions lead to results for our clients.
  • Regularly communicate progress and issues across projects.
  • Directly work with team members to correct a lack of urgency, performance, or responsiveness. If the issue continues to persist, escalate the issue.

Development Role

  • Build websites and user interfaces, using standard HTML/CSS/JS practices.
  • Develop WordPress themes and custom code modules within Advanced Custom Fields.
  • Take ownership of work by troubleshooting the functionality and styling of your changes.
  • Improve websites to pass Google Core Web Vitals and reach a PageSpeed threshold of 80+ in the mobile and 90+ for desktop.
  • Troubleshoot technical website issues to clear up errors seen across tools such as Google Search Console or OP Engine.
  • Ensure website design, layout, and coding are optimized to enhance the website’s brand and improve user conversions.
