Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any discipline related to nutrition from a recognized university with good knowledge and working experience in Terai context and improving nutritional status of women and children from poor and marginalized communities.
•  The incumbent requires to have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. Prior experience of working in developing and engaging with multi -sectorial nutrition platform and multiplying nutrition practices in wider context will be an asset. Capacity to communicate in Maithili language will be additional advantages.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

• Sound knowledge and experience in promoting nutrition through multi-sectoral approach and understanding of Nepalese agriculture and food security sector.
• Competency in research, knowledge documentation and report writing skills.
• Familiarity with the national health, agriculture and nutrition system; structures and functions.
• Knowledge of various M&E tools, statistical packages and their application, relevant software computer programming.
• Knowledge and experience in nutritional outcome and impact measurement.
• Previous experience on engaging with or creating multi sectoral nutritional platform.
• Good English and Nepali speaking and writing skills.
• Strong ability to work in a team and coordinate tasks and responsibilities.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven initiative, flexibility and ability to prioritize in a demanding environment and to tight deadlines.
• Sensitivity and responsiveness to Gender, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion issues.
• Working experience with civil society base organization for food and nutritional related issues.
