• A formal engineering qualification (Bachelor’s Degree, Masters) – Civil Structural
• IELTS B1 / B2 English language written & spoken. 
• 7+ years’ experience with a contractor or Engineering consultancy.
• Experience of working on site and some knowledge of UK codes are both desirable.
• Expert in the Layout, General Arrangement and detail of Concrete structures.
• Good ability with engineering calculations and design reports.
• Some knowledge of M365 and SharePoint is desirable.
• Able to work within a dynamic environment with good attention to detail.
• Able to work to tight deadlines and self-manage priorities against multiple tasks.

Job Description:

• Specialist in structural analysis and specifically with hydropower and water retaining structures
• Overview and detailed calculation of structures using Excel and industry standard software
• Proficient in CAD Engineering - AutoCAD
• Outline and detailed design recognising the civil, electrical and mechanical interfaces.
• Liaison between project managers and site staff/contractors.
• Know the sequence of jobs (in the office) and pre-empt the need for information/client input
• Work as part of a team to suggest improvements which will benefit our clients.

Shift Work:

• The post will may require to undertake some shift work (early or late) 
• Weekend work will be required from time to time
• Overtime will be paid where appropriate.
