Job Description:
Safety Manager shall have overall responsibility for effective operation and implementation of the Health and Safety requirements of the Project as per IFC performance standards. Implement and ensure health and safety regulation compliance and adequate trainings as applicable to needs and requirement of the project. Planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting on health and safety strategies based on the CESSMP, EIA/ESIA etc. of the project. Liaise with all stakeholders including but not limited to local community, contractors, project technical and construction team, consultants, lenders and maintain a cordial and working relationship at local level.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant work in Hydropower Projects
- Must have excellent planning and monitoring skills.
- Professional proficiency in the English language.
- Safety certification is must for this position
- Experience of working in a project complying with IFC Performance Standards will be an added advantage.
