Summary of Job Purpose: 

The Research Officer (RO) is responsible to support the Research Manager (RM) to conduct analysis of the assistive technology (AT) situation for Nepal. The RO will support execution of the AT-Assessment Capacity (ATA-C) assessment tool developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and summarize findings from Rapid Assistive Technology Assessment (rATA), Systematic Assessment of Rehabilitation Situation (STARS) assessments, and relevant research studies. In addition, the RO will support in engaging key AT stakeholders in Nepal and conduct workshops and meetings. 

Qualifications and experiences: 

Master’s degree in public health or nutrition or social science and should have sound knowledge in the field of disability, assistive technology; minimum 3 years of experience in disability or assistive technology sector along with the disability advocacy; experience in research-based organization and data analysis skill; write /produce the program reports & articles for publication; experience in disability sector and assistive technology; demonstrated technical depth required in at least one of the areas of public health i.e.  research methods, empirical data collection and analysis and experience in supervising survey teams.
