JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direct supervision of the Project Lead, Gandaki Basin Climate Resilient Project, the Project Support Officer will be a part of diversified team and will be responsible for implementing the project activities and reporting for the PESU.
- Under the direct supervision of the Project Team Leader, provide support to DoFSC and PESU for planning and execution of the Project activities.
- Develop a plan of actions for consultations (e.g. date, time, sites, etc.) and their TOR for implementing project activities specifically for Component 3;
- Support to form multi-sectoral/thematic task teams for consultations at different levels for effective execution of the activities;
- Participate in different consultation meetings and if necessary facilitate and lead the consultation process;
- Regular coordination with DoFSC, IUCN, NTNC and field execution Offices for activities implementation;
- Support in preparation of the Activities Plan, Training, Event and Workshops etc, and prepare report after completing each assignment;
- Maintain proper documentation of the PMU/PESU and other project related documents;
- Record and document the project related assignments/activities in the form of reports meeting minutes, activity proceedings, letters, calculation sheets etc;
- Prepare and submit project activity report and monthly progress reports along with project supporting documents as mentioned above;
- Provide support for annual planning budgeting and reporting under the guidance of the PTL.
- Coordination with DOFSC and NTNC for reporting and others
- Undertake any other task assigned by PTL or IUCN Project Coordinator.
REQUIREMENTS
- A Nepali Citizen with Master Degree in Natural Resources Management or relevant subject, with at least 2 years of experience of working on climate change adaptation projects;
- Good interpersonal skills with command over written and verbal English and Nepali.
- Demonstrable knowledge and familiarity with multilateral/bilateral donor agencies like GCF, GEF funding and reporting modalities
- Having good knowledge and skills in data and information analysis, and in writing progress and implementation reports in a succinct and informative manner.
