Other Specification:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in civil engineering with emphasis on construction project management
  • At least 5 years in road construction project/pipeline construction project
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); good computer skills; the ability to interact well with property owners, municipal, state and federal agencies at all levels.
  • Should have knowledge of contract documents, various acts and regulations related to government agencies.
  • Understanding and adherence to contracts and agreements within scopes of work
  • Should have proper knowledge of mobilizing the site equipment and workforce.
  • Should have the knowledge to prepare a monthly report, IPCs, work schedule, QAP, work methodology.

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
  • Requires “hands on” management of field projects, contract inspectors and construction crews to ensure that pipeline/Road construction and maintenance projects are compliant to safe work practices, conform to all company procedures and specifications with strict adherence to all rules and regulations and are completed in a timely, effective and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for developing, organizing and maintaining project scopes, project work plans, project timelines, construction schedules, construction records, project cost estimates, contract negotiations and issuance, and budgetary control to ensure projects are completed in an efficient and safe manner. 
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with road and safety regulations
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
  • Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance
  • Review the work progress on daily basis
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
  • Design documents, including drawings and specifications,
  • Ensure Construction schedules and cost estimates,
  • Quality control and assurance records,
  • Chronological files of project correspondence and memorandum,
  • Monitor construction field activity and inspection logs,
  • Review legal contracts and regulatory documents for project site
  • Review cash flow and procurement accounts for each projects.
  • Any other tasks assigned by immediate supervisor.
