- Ensure that your department teachers design and implement appropriate lesson plans for a comprehensive class curriculum.
- Provide leadership, motivate and encourage staff to perform their responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
- Encourage department teachers to use technology to supplement and enhance classroom activities.
- Ensure that teachers are assessing and improving their students' progress in learning and behavior.
- Assess and record department teacher performance, as well as support in their improvement.
- Maintain effective communication with students, staff and parents.
- Coordinate with other department heads and assist in any school-wide events.
