Job Description:

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Plant Manager to oversee the operations of our construction company's plant and equipment. As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the plant, including maintenance, production, safety, and resource allocation. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and reliable functioning of the plant to support our construction projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plant Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction plant, including equipment maintenance, production scheduling, and resource planning.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
  • Production Planning: Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to plan and schedule plant production to meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate plant resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to support multiple construction projects effectively.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and implement safety protocols to create a safe working environment for plant personnel.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to maintain the quality and reliability of plant output, identifying and addressing any production issues promptly.
  • Budget Management: Work with the finance department to establish and manage the plant's budget, monitoring expenses and ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Inventory Management: Supervise inventory levels of materials and spare parts required for plant operations, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and manage a team of plant operators, technicians, and support staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in plant operations, implementing best practices to enhance productivity.
  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainable practices to minimize the plant's environmental impact.
  • Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans for potential plant-related incidents, ensuring the safety of personnel and assets.
