Qualification, Skills and Experience

Required:

• Should have completed Bachelor’s degree in social science, nursing, public health or any other related disciplines
• Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work in diverse communities
• Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Good reporting and communication skills
• Proficiency in Nepali and English languages
• Proficiency in relevant software and documentation tools
• Adherence to ethical guidelines and principles of confidentiality
• Prepare reports and case summaries as required
• Be willing and able to travel to all wards of Godawari Municipality.

Preferable:

• 6 months training on psychosocial counseling from reputed institution
• Experience of working with individuals with Neurodevelopmental disability and their families
• Familiar with Newari language
• Committed to long-term employment and engagement in the role
• Individuals from minority, persons with disabilities, or women will be given priority during the selection process.

Job Description

Major responsibilities:

The PASS-PLUS Counselor will be responsible for following duties but not limited to:

• Prepare, plan, and conduct counseling sessions and reports
• Apply various counseling approaches, Basic counseling principles, and effective counseling skills during sessions
• Efficiently manage counseling cases, including documentation, and facilitating referrals as needed
• Collaborate with the ACNS and NAMASTE team to track and assist with work, task, and project activities
• Participate in supervision sessions in collaboration with the Supervisor
• Establish and maintain coordination with relevant stakeholders and service providers for project implementation within Godawari Municipality.
