Education:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in public policy, politics, economics, development studies, business administration, public administration or a related area.
- Bachelor’s degree in combination with an additional 2 years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the Masters degree.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years (with Master’s degree) or 7 years (with Bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience at the national or international level in, development cooperation and partnerships.
- Proven experience with results frameworks, theory of change and indicator frameworks monitoring and reporting.
- Prior experience working with government, United Nations and donors is an asset.
- Knowledge and experience working with Government, particularly under UNDP’s National Implementation Modality (NIM) is an asset.
- Prior experience and knowledge of/familiarity with UNDP’s rules, procedures, reporting requirements, and planning frameworks is an asset.
- Proven experience in donor and UN partnerships/public relations is an asset.
- Experience with non-traditional development actors is is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to coordinate and facilitate multi-stakeholder meetings, particularly donor groups is an asset.
- Understanding of Nepal’s political and socio-economic context, development priorities, and planning frameworks would be a strong asset.
- Prior experience on Ability to work across practices, work in cross-thematic teams, foster team work is an asset.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel etc.) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages is an asset.
Language
- Proficiency in oral and written English Language is required.
- Knowledge of Nepali Language is an asset.
- Knowledge of other UN official language(s) is an asset,
