Qualification:
- At least Bachelor’s Degree in education (B.Ed.) and have experience of teaching, coaching, and mentoring, and training to the teachers.
Experience:
- Experience in teaching learning and inclusive education
- Experience in training the teachers
- Experience of working with marginalized and vulnerable children including children with disabilities.
- Willingness to share his/her skills with colleagues in a professional but sensitive manner
- Experience in using the technology.
Skills/Abilities:
- Able to frequently travel
- Able to accommodate in diverse socio-economic, and multicultural context
- Fluent in English, Nepali and motivated to learn
- Proven and practical knowledge of peer to peer support to share experience and learning
- Have enthusiasm and the adequate knowledge and experience to continuously monitor, write and evaluate project results and reports on a quarterly and annual basis;
- Good interpersonal skills combined with a flexible and adaptable attitude.
- Excellent communication skills with good command of both spoken and written.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of working with/as volunteer.
- Ability to understand and speak local language of the district/community.
- Experience in working with marginalized community.
- Willingness to share his/her skills with colleagues in a professional but sensitive manner
- Previous experiences of working as VSO in the field of volunteering mainly material development, teacher training would be an asset
- Able to accommodate in diverse socio-economic, and multicultural context.

Allowance:
As a VSO Nepal National Volunteer, you will be sharing your skills with local communities on a full time basis. VSO will cover your travel, vaccinations, accommodation, and medical insurance costs, along with living allowance sufficient to support during your placement. However, as a volunteer, you should not expect to save money during the placement and/or a standard-of-living comparable to salaried expatriates or workers from other development agencies.
You will be provided with In Country Funded Allowance as per the organization’s policy on a monthly basis, which is designed to meet reasonable costs of living and some expenses. This is nonnegotiable at any stage of your placement.
Accommodation:
VSO works with some of the most diversified communities in Nepal, which means accommodation allowance varies and will be basic.
