Qualifications/Skills:

• Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in written and oral communication in English and Nepali.
• Strong technical understanding, with expertise in machine design being a plus.
• Good knowledge and practical experience in designing tools like 2D and 3D.
• Flexibility to travel extensively to locations such as Kathmandu, Bharatpur, and Nawalparasi.
• Strong analytical abilities, capacity assessment, and planning skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities:

• Supervising the feedback collection study on the menstrual pads. (designed of the study, way of collection, analyzing results, suggestion of improvement in the process, etc.)
• Actively participate in the installation of the machines in the pad factory, and the start of the production in the pad factory.
• Participation in the optimization of the fiber factory processes, as well as the pad factory processes.
• Working on Quality assurance of raw materials produced (“banana fibre”) and pad manufacturing.
• Trouble shooting in both factories.

Duration: 8 Months contract

Approx. working hours: 40 hours a week
