Overall responsibilities: 

The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring  they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technical experts to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality solutions. 

 

Specific Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. 
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, tasks, and resource allocation. 
  • Conduct project kick-off meetings and communicate project objectives to team members and  stakeholders. 
  • Secure project resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment. 
  • Lead the project team, assigning tasks and responsibilities. 
  • Monitor and manage project progress, identifying and addressing issues or deviations. 
  • Ensure that the project is delivered according to established quality standards. 
  • Resolve conflicts and ensure alignment between project team members. 
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and engage them throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Allocate resources efficiently and effectively to meet project goals. 
  • Coordinate with other departments or teams to secure necessary resources. 
  • Manage vendor relationships, if applicable. 
  • Implement quality assurance and testing processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT solutions. 
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and issue logs. 
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards. 
  • Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
