Job Description

As a Health Assistant at Kathmandu ENT Hospital, you will work under the supervision of medical professionals to provide essential clinical support to patients. Your role is crucial in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and efficient healthcare delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist medical staff during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate accurately.
  • Gather and document patient history, medications, allergies, and other relevant medical information.
  • Administer medications, injections, and prescribed treatments following healthcare providers' instructions.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests such as blood glucose monitoring, urine analysis, and specimen collection.
  • Assist in diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, ultrasounds, and audiometry tests.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, treatments, and transfers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, equipment, and patient care areas.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care practices.
  • Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control measures, safety guidelines, and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members, including doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in training programs, workshops, and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
