Job Description:

 

1. Hardware Maintenance:

  • Diagnosing and replacing malfunctioning hardware components such as hard drives, memory modules, and motherboards.
  • Assembling and disassembling computers and peripherals.
  • Installing and updating device drivers.

 

2. Network Configuration and Troubleshooting:

  • Configuring routers, switches, and other network devices.
  • Setting up local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
  • Identifying and resolving network connectivity issues.
  • Monitoring network performance and security.
  • Software Installation and Support:

 

3. Installing operating systems and software applications:

  • Providing technical support to end-users regarding hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshooting software problems and conflicts.
  • Security Implementation.

 

4. Setting up automated data backup systems:

  • Assisting in data recovery in case of hardware failures or data corruption.
  • Documentation and Reporting.

 

5. Maintaining records of hardware and software inventory:

  • Creating documentation for troubleshooting procedures and network configurations.
  • Generating reports on system performance and issues resolved.
  • Customer Support.

 

6. Providing technical assistance and support to end-users:

  • Communicating technical information in a non-technical manner to clients or employees.
  •  In-depth knowledge of computer hardware components and their functions.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
  • Understanding of network protocols, IP addresses, and subnetting.
  • Networking Skills.

 

7. Knowledge of network topologies and architectures:

  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with network security protocols and measures.
  • Problem-Solving Skills.

 

8. Good communication skills to interact with end-users and explain technical concepts clearly:

  • Active listening skills to understand user issues and concerns.
  •  Thoroughness in diagnosing and resolving hardware and network problems.
  • Attention to detail when documenting configurations and issues.

 

9. Customer Service Orientation:

  •  Patience and empathy when dealing with end-users' technical problems.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
