Job Description Urgent Require Women’s Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC) is a national level NGO working for women's human rights and to ensure women empowerment through protection and promotion of human rights and social justice focusing on campaigns against violence against women, and women's economic, social and cultural rights nation-wide. Our working districts with offices are spread over Morang, Sunsari, Udayapur, Siraha, Dhanusha, Dang, Kailali, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rukum, kapilvastu and Rupandehi and the Central Office is located in Lalitpur. WOREC is currently looking for candidates to fulfill the following positions: Position Description: The Finance Officer will be the lead responsible person for the overall financial management of the assigned projects and collectively of the organization. The FO will be accountable for all the project's effective use of funds and planning, to ensure operational and programmatic efficiencies. He/She will oversee the effective and appropriate use of financial resources, and develop effective mechanisms to monitor the expenditures. He/She will support to ensure effective implementation of administrative, financial, and human resource policies in line with relevant rules, acts and standards. He/She will ensure compliance with Donors regulations and organizational policies. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining books of accounts and necessary financial evidences required for auditing Assist with preparation of the Administration Budget, Programme Budget and Personnel Budget. Maintain and keep all the receipts and other supporting documents properly Establish and maintain cash controls, reconcile the general ledger and bank statements Manage bank accounts, and the transfer of money between head-office and field offices Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system Prepare monthly financial statements for all projects and reporting to funding agencies on time. Prepare quarterly reports and report on variances Liaise regularly with budget holders Enter payroll information into the computerized accounting system Calculate employee salaries, deductions and contributions and monthly deposit on time Prepare, review and file payroll summaries, journals and reports Coordinate and monitor the working districts on regular basis. Facilitate in the capacity building of district finance colleagues on periodic basis. Required Qualifications Masters Degree with one year experience or at least Bachelor Degree with three years experience in relevant field Strong computerized accounting software knowledge Strong computer skills in MS Office programs, Excel .
