Job Description:

 

Background and Context

Aloi Private Limited is a technology company that builds software for microfinance. We are seeking a Product Manager. Our fintech social enterprise is seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will lead the development and management of our product offerings, ensuring that they meet the needs of our users and align with our mission to provide financial services to underserved communities. The posting is based in Kathmandu and will involve travel to rural areas where our clients are based. The Finance Manager will report directly to the company’s CTO and CEO.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure financial and accounting aspects of the projects, including all project financial/financial monitoring planning, monthly reporting, and Financial Management.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of financial controls (bank reconciliations and other control accounts, performance management data, etc.)
  • Develop the annual operating budget and make appropriate revisions as per instructions from the Finance Head. 
  • Lead on the effective monitoring of the project budgets.
  • Effectively organize and manage internal and external audits.
  • Build strategic and implementation planning along with policies & procedures for the Finance Department.
  • Provide technical support to a partner organization in areas including overall financial management, internal control systems, budgeting, and reporting, and legal compliance.
  • Reviewing periodic reports of partners and advising the partners and program team on effective and efficient financial utilization.
  • Perform any other responsibilities as requested by the supervisor.
  • Monitor departmental budget and funds for on-going and new projects.
  • Develop budget for new program/ proposal coordinating with other relevant departments.
