Finance Associate

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

A) Accounting

  • Support checking vouchers, receipts, travel bills and other supporting documents of Activity received from regional and cluster offices.
  •  Support processing cash and bank payments complying with CEAPRED and USAID Agricultural Inputs Activity procedures.
  • Support preparing monthly payroll and timely deposit/distribute to concerned.
  •  Support monthly reconciling bank and cash accounts managed by CEAPRED at central, regional and cluster offices of Activity.
  •  Support deducting TDS and other taxes as required by Nepal Government and deposit it within 15 days of next month of deduction.
  • Support deducting and timely deposit CIT, severance, and PF (within 15 days of next month of deduction,
  •  Support releasing payment within 5 days after submission of complete documents (such as TADA, procurement bills & other payments) to regional and cluster offices.
  • Maintain proper filing system for all vouchers, documents and update information as per the CEAPRED and donor requirements.
  • Support keeping all transactions up to date on a computerized accounting system (Tally) and other Excel sheets, if required.
  •  Assist providing related finance documents to auditors during the internal, external and donor audits.

 

B) Others

  •  Ensure a safe and equitable workplace, create opportunities, and offer support to women and those from disadvantaged groups.
  •  Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor and Activity management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQURIEMENTS:

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting or related fields. Required Experience.

 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and finance management using standard software (e.g Tally).
  • Good oral communication skills.
  •  Ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel in the field as per need.
  •  Ability to work under cross cultural environment.
  • Strong team coordination, listening and consensus building skills.

 

Language:

  • Ability to prepare finance reports in Nepali and English.
