Specification:

• Bachelor's degree in [Engineering discipline] or equivalent relevant field which includes Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar qualifications. 
• Proven work experience as an Estimator Engineer in the construction and or demolition sector.
• Proficiency in using estimation software and tools such as Cubit, Cost X, Blue-Beam or other measuring software.
• Proficiency in document control software such as Aconex, Procore and other document control systems. 
• Strong understanding of construction methods, methodologies, and project processes.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills are needed to work with diverse teams and present estimations to clients.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and thorough estimates and take off's. 
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers, administrators, and stakeholders to gather necessary project information.
• Analyze blueprints, technical documents, and project specifications to understand scope and requirements.
• Utilise industry-specific tools and software to create detailed cost breakdowns for project estimations.
• Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals for clients.
• Present and explain cost estimations to senior management during project and estimating discussions.
• Maintain a database of historical cost data for reference in future estimations.
• Document control capabilities ensuring blue prints, drawings, specifications and addendums are stored, controlled and updated.
• Review of tender to construct documentation.  
• Stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and technological advancements affecting project costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely estimations.
