Project Area: Marin Rural Municipality and Hariharpur Gadhi Rural Municipality, Sindhuli
 

Job duration: 1 year with a possibility of extension.
 

Start date: At the earliest

 

Major responsibilities:

The District Officer will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

  • Take a lead role to district level coordination and planning, implementation and reporting.
  • Prepare and conduct different psychosocial care and support trainings (NHTC Module one, Two and Six), workshop training materials, brochures, and other IEC materials to implement the program successfully.
  • Oversee implementation of the overall project in district level.
  • Coordinate with local government and other relevant stakeholders at project sites, for effective implementation of the project.
  • Prepare events reports, conduct context analysis, and prepare reports.
  • Conduct regular field visits to closely monitor field activities.
  • Regular coordination with the project team for day-to-day activities.
  • Provide regular updates, monthly, quarterly, and annual plans and reports to the Project Manager, coordinator, and other program staff.
  • Participate in different concern meetings, workshops, training, etc.

 

Qualification, Skills, and Experiences:

  • Minimum PGD in counseling psychology or six-month psychosocial counseling training with Bachelor degree in a related field (psychology, public health, social work and other disciplines).
  • Minimum One year of work experience in similar field/position.
  • Knowledge and experience of community-based MHPS intervention implementation.
  • Prior experience working in community-based MHPS prevention, promotion and responses activities.
  • Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken Nepali and English language.
  • Willingness to travel to rural areas and work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Having a driving license for a motorbike or scooter will be an advantage.
